Senior Walkthrough at Elementary Schools

Mahopac High School seniors returned to where their educational journeys began as they visited their former elementary schools, Austin Road, Fulmar Road and Lakeview, for a special walk-through celebration ahead of graduation.

Wearing their caps and gowns, the seniors walked the halls to the cheers and applause of elementary school students and staff who lined the corridors with signs, high fives and smiles. The visit, a beloved annual tradition, gives the graduating students an opportunity to reflect on their roots and serves as an inspiring moment for the younger students.

“It’s such a meaningful event,” Austin Road Principal Bryan Gilligan said. “Our students look up to the seniors, and it reminds them that their own graduation is something to strive toward.”

The walk-throughs celebrated the connection between all the Mahopac schools and honored the achievements of the Class of 2025 while reinforcing the sense of community that defines the Mahopac Central School District.
