ENL Night in the Mahopac CSD

Mahopac Central School District’s commitment to collaboration and community was on full display during ENL Family Night, an evening dedicated to celebrating and supporting the district’s English as a New Language (ENL) students and their families.

The event brought together ENL teachers, special education staff, counselors, technology specialists and literacy coaches, along with numerous local agencies and community organizations, all working hand-in-hand to share resources and create meaningful connections with families.

Interim Superintendent of Schools Frank Miele praised the event as a true example of what makes Mahopac special.

“When we talk about collaboration in Mahopac, this is exactly what we mean,” Miele said. “Seeing so many teachers, staff, families and community partners come together to support our ENL students shows the heart of our district. This is what community looks like.”

ENL teacher Alexa Rosales, who joined the district this year, shared her appreciation for the experience.

“This is my first year in Mahopac, and I’m so impressed by the level of teamwork and care shown for our ENL families,” Rosales said. “The event was a wonderful celebration of our diversity, and a reflection of how welcoming and supportive this community is.”

Mahopac continues to take pride in creating spaces where every student and family feels valued and supported.
