Mahopac’s Julie Cummins Named School Counselor of the Year

Julie Cummins, a dedicated member of the Mahopac High School counseling department, has been named School Counselor of the Year by the Westchester Putnam Rockland Counseling Association (WPRCA).

Cummins, who was nominated by a colleague within her department, was selected from a competitive pool of nominees across the region. She was recognized for her exceptional commitment to students, collaborative spirit and positive impact on the school community.

Mahopac High School Principal Patrick Keevins praised Cummins’ work ethic and professionalism.

“Julie is an invaluable member of our school community,” Keevins said. “Her compassion, dedication and leadership make a difference in the lives of our students every day. This recognition is well-earned and speaks volumes about the kind of counselor and person she is.”

Cummins expressed gratitude to be recognized by her peers and the WPRCA.

“I work alongside an amazing team, and this award is truly a reflection of the support and collaboration we have at Mahopac,” Cummins said.
